Two days are enough to taste the essence of Champagne: the great cellars of Reims, the Avenue de Champagne in Épernay and the vineyard landscapes. Here is a **wine-tasting itinerary** ready to follow.

## Day 1 — Reims and its chalk cellars

**Morning.** Start with a **cellar visit** at a major Reims house: a descent into the UNESCO-listed chalk cellars (crayères), an explanation of the method and a first tasting. **Midday.** Lunch in the town centre, then a stroll around the coronation cathedral.

**Evening.** Overnight in Reims or heading towards Épernay.

## Day 2 — Épernay and the vineyard
